LAUNCHED! 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160

 Bajaj launched NS160 Today.

Bajaj has officially launched the updated NS160 in India with an asking price of Rs. 1,34,675 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has received a handful of updates in the latest iteration and now costs a little more than before.

Has Bajaj made any changes to the Pulsar NS160’s design?

In its latest trim, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 retains the design from the 2022 model. Hence, it also gets the same headlight, chiselled fuel tank, split seat, sharp rear side panels, and split grab rail. However, the 2023 NS160 gets a new black and red paint scheme, enhancing its visual appeal.

What updates have been made to the Pulsar NS160’s engine?

The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is powered by the same 160cc single-cylinder motor as the previous one. It continues to dish out 16.7bhp and 14.7Nm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. That said, the motor is now OBD-2-ready. OBD stands for onboard diagnostics, which allows the bike to monitor real-time emissions.

Are there any new features for the Pulsar NS160?

Bajaj has employed the same list of features on the 2023 model. So, it features a halogen headlight LED taillight and a semi-digital instrument console that houses the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and fuel level indicator. It now benefits from a gear position indicator as well. Apart from that, Bajaj has widened the safety net by adding dual-channel ABS.

How has the Pulsar NS160’s hardware changed?

One of the major changes for the new NS comes in the form of the USD front forks instead of the conventional telescopic units. The rear monoshock remains unchanged. Moreover, the braking hardware now comes from Grimeca instead of ByBre, and the front disc measures 300mm, unlike the previous 260mm unit. It continues to ride on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tyres.

How much more does the 2023 Pulsar NS160 cost?

With the new asking price of Rs. 1,34,657 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2023 Pulsar NS160 costs about Rs. 9,000 more than before.
