Yamaha has launched the new FZ-S FI Version 4.0 and the updated FZ-X motorcycles for 2023 in India. Both motorcycles are now greener and come with a few nifty technological updates.
What’s The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?
With a slight premium of Rs 3,000 over the FZ-S FI V3 Deluxe, the Yamaha FZ-S FI V4 comes flaunting a price tag of Rs 1,27,400, ex-showroom Delhi. It rivals the likes of Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R, and the Honda XBlade.
The updated FZ-X on the other hand comes at a premium of Rs 1,500 bearing a sticker price of Rs 1,35,900, ex-showroom Delhi. The closest rivals to the FZ-X are the Kawasaki W175 and Keeway SR125.
How Many Variants Are There?
- The FZ-S FI V4 at present will only be available in the Deluxe variant. The standard variant for the V4 will launch sometime this year.
- The FZ-X, on the other hand, is available only in one variant with three colour schemes: Matte Copper, Matte Black, and Dark Matte Blue.
What’s New?
For 2023 the FZ-S FI V4 DLX gets a new, redesigned LED headlight unit with sleek new LED DRLs. It also features new LED turn indicators as standard.
The streetfighter also get flashy golden and blue coloured rims.
Most important update has to be the inclusion of a traction control system on both – FZ-S FI V4 and the 2023 FZ-X, making them safer than before.
Both bikes are now E20 (can run on flex fuels with 20% ethanol and 80% petrol) fuel compatible, making them greener than before.
With new LED indicators, the FZ-X also comes donning a new and refreshing Dark Matte Blue colour scheme.
Keeping the modernity in mind, both bikes now feature a revised multi function LCD console with Y-Connect. It sadly misses out on turn by turn navigation.
